Description:
Full day tour to Terezin (Theresienstadt) a former concentration camp and jewish ghetto established by the SS during World War II in a military fortress town from 18th century located in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (German-occupied Czech lands). Terezin served as a waystation to the extermination camps and a “retirement settlement” for elderly and prominent Jews to mislead their communities about the Final Solution. The ghetto also served a propaganda role. Nearby town of Litomerice is a former royal walled in town with a beautifull baroque architecture mainly around the town square

≡ Pilsen & Pilsner Urquell – Beer Tour

Description:
Pilsen provided the world with the most famous golden lager Pilsner Urquell after which beers of the same type around the world are named Pilsner. The city has more than 700 years long rich history, which is reflected in magnificent architecture and atmosphere of its historical centre. On 6 May 1945, near the end of the Second World War, Plzeň was liberated from Nazi Germany by the 16th Armored Division of General Patton’s 3rd Army. Other Third Army units liberated major portions of Western Bohemia.
