Cancellation Policy

At Svasek Private Tours, we understand that travel plans can change. This Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which clients may cancel a booking and receive a refund.


1. Client-Initiated Cancellations

1.1 Standard Tours

For all standard private tours (walking tours, themed tours, or custom itineraries):

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled tour start time.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour are non-refundable.
  • No-shows (failure to appear at the agreed meeting point) are non-refundable.

1.2 Groups & Special Bookings

For large groups (8+ participants), customized itineraries, or tours requiring third-party reservations:

  • Free cancellation up to 72 hours before the tour.
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour may incur partial or full charges, depending on any non-refundable expenses already incurred (e.g., tickets, transportation).

1.3 Prepaid Services

If your booking included pre-purchased tickets (museums, attractions, transportation, special venues):

  • These items may be non-refundable, even if the tour itself qualifies for a refund.
  • Any refundable portion will be communicated during cancellation processing.

2. How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible:

Cancellations are only valid when confirmed in writing by us.


3. Operator-Initiated Cancellations

3.1 Reasons We May Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour due to:

  • Extreme or unsafe weather
  • Guide illness or emergency
  • Operational issues beyond our control
  • Government restrictions
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, etc.)

3.2 Refund Options

If we cancel the tour, you may choose:

  • A full refund
  • Rescheduling to another available date at no extra charge

We are not responsible for additional costs outside the tour price (e.g., travel, accommodation, missed activities).


4. Late Arrivals

Tours begin at the agreed meeting time.
If you arrive late:

  • The guide may shorten the tour accordingly.
  • If arrival is more than 30 minutes late without notice, the booking may be considered a no-show.

No refund is issued for shortened tours or late arrivals.


5. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change dates, start times, or group size are subject to availability and should be made at least:

  • 48 hours in advance for standard tours
  • 72 hours in advance for group/custom tours

Changes made within a shorter time frame may be treated as cancellations.


6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the booking.
Depending on your bank or payment provider, refunds may take 3โ€“10 business days to appear.
